What inspires me?

There are many things that inspire me on a daily basis and make each day a pleasure to live. First and foremost- it’s breakfast! A good breakfast, at the right time, can make or break a day for me. A bowl of frosted wheats or weetoes, 2 croissants or a boiled egg and soldiers (smattering of salt and Heinz tomato ketchup), washed down with a glass of 100% freshly squeezed orange juice and of course, a cup of tea. Invariably I get out of bed quite late and just have to make do with the bits of dried tooth paste at the sides of my mouth.

Standing up in front of people presenting, acting or performing and trying to make a difference in their lives, is what drives me and is my main passion in life. I do this by trying to make people laugh as a man of mirth doing stand up comedy or talking to people about the ways they can improve their lives by teaching various methods in shifting beliefs and the wonders of goal mapping.

I believe every day is a challenge and an opportunity to learn something new. It isn’t always easy focusing on the positives in life and the ability to have control over the negative factors can be difficult even at the best of times. This is something I’ve learnt myself and have the fortunate opportunity to be able to pass onto other people.

I live my life to the full and think the key to happiness and inspiration is getting a good balance in all areas of your life- balance makes life work well. My quick fix to clearing the cob webs away and getting my mind focused is a half an hour run three times a week- it does wonders for your motivation and gives you that instant feeling of well being.

I think it’s important to have an idol, someone who inspires you, so you can look up to and learn from them-mine’s Steven Segal in Under Siege, what a great cook!

I live as closely to this quote as possible and if you can, I think you might be doing ok!:

“The follies that a man regrets most in his life are the one’s he didn’t commit when he had the opportunity”

What makes me me?

I truly believe what makes me me, is my ability and desire to be myself. Life is full of people who are unkind and bitter and sometimes put you down for no fathomable reason. If you can get past that and avoid the people that bring any negativity into your life then you will become a real person and a great person. If you can truly be yourself, all of the time, you will find something very special.

I also love people. I enjoy learning about other peoples experiences and am a keen collector of facts and knowledge, did you know that the largest known kidney stone weighed 1.36 kg and that giraffes can neither swim or cough! I like to hear the sound of laughter as much as possible and I think it’s very important to keep smiling- especially if you wee your pants in public.
